I Have so Little to Say ‘Bout Love

I have so little to say ’bout love

Auntie, so little to speak of it

A dizziness, the lady said

Such feeling I’ve never felt

A wound in the heart, the writer exclaimed

Such pain I’ve never felt

A beginning that meets end, a lonely musician played

Such image I’ve never seen

A backward fall, the professor said

Such a move I’ve never moved.

I have so little to say ’bout love

Auntie, so little to speak of it

I stood puzzled to all those who

Found courage to define it

A word found to contain it

So for love is not the dizziness of a bad bite, nor the brake of obsessed thought, nor a story with middles nor ends or a fall in whichever direction.

For the love I came ’bout

Oh auntie, such love wore a strange, familiar smile

You’d call a déjà vu

A seeker for passion

Simply contempt with the peace on other’s heart

Even if in far away land.
